2nd Grade Mixed Math Review Worksheets

Mixed review puts addition, subtraction and multiplication on the same page, with numbers up to 100. Switching between operations keeps skills sharp and shows what a child really knows.

Use these as a warm-up, after a school break, or before a test. When one type of problem keeps going wrong, the matching worksheet page above is the place to practice it.

Sample problems

  1. 4 ร— 7 = _____
  2. 29 + 5 = _____
  3. 5 ร— 1 = _____
  4. 4 ร— 6 = _____
  5. 9 ร— 8 = _____
  6. 4 ร— 1 = _____
  7. 18 + 10 = _____
  8. 85 โˆ’ 18 = _____

Worked example

26 + 15, 19 โˆ’ 14 and 6 ร— 2

  1. 26 + 15: ones 6 + 5 = 11, so regroup. Tens 2 + 1 + 1 = 4. The answer is 41.
  2. 19 โˆ’ 14: count up from 14 to 19. That is 5.
  3. 6 ร— 2: 6 groups of 2, or double 6. That is 12.
  4. Each problem needed a different strategy, which is the point of mixed review.

Common mistakes

  • Confusing + and ร—, especially when working fast. 6 ร— 2 is 12, but 6 + 2 is 8.
  • Forgetting to regroup after a few problems that did not need it. Encourage checking the ones column first.

Tips for practicing at home

  • Keep it short: 10 to 20 problems is plenty for a review.
  • Let your child mark their own work with the answer key, then redo any misses.
  • Note which kind of problem was missed most and practice that topic next.
